Hello LNN Members,

What a lovely month of May we have had together, with so many energized members at such a fun variety of events! It is wonderful to have this great community, with such a range of backgrounds, interests, and activities. We kicked off May with a fun Bunco night, a great movie night in good company, and a fantastic potluck night with so many members, new and existing. Our monthly lunch bunch and book club continue to be favorites, and the golf club took advantage of the beautiful weather for their group lessons. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to join us, and a special thanks to all of our gracious hosts who welcomed us into their homes.

For the first time in years, LNN had a booth at Lexington Discovery Day alongside many other local organizations. Thank you to the lovely members who were instrumental in planning and running the day. We had a busy day with a lot of interest, many spins of the prize wheel, and sign ups of new members. And a major shout out to our local Lexington businesses who donated prizes to our raffle, making for an extremely fun outcome for many. See below for details on these donors.

We hope everyone is excited for summer and for our final official newsletter of the season! While there will likely be ad hoc activities throughout the summer (keep an eye on our FB page to stay updated), June is our final month of recurring activities for the season before everyone takes a break and hits refresh over summer break. So do come out and join us for our upcoming June events (check out our infographic & additional details below). Please don’t forget to RSVP ahead of time to help our committee members prepare, and keep an eye on our members Facebook page for last minute updates.

Best wishes,

Rikke Bitsch-Nørhave, LNN President & Rachel Brownell, LNN Secretary

May 2024 Newsletter

Hello Neighbors & Newcomers,

Welcome to May and this month’s newsletter. April kicked off with lovely spring vibes and more outdoor activities, in addition to our many wonderful monthly events, including a lovely trip to the beautiful Lyman Estate, dog and human nature walks, and a men’s bike and coffee meet-up that was swiftly adapted to coffee-only due to the unpredictable April weather. Our April book club was attended by 20 lovely members, including several people new to both book club and LNN in general. A warm welcome to you all.

We are proud to share that we are now more than 100 lovely families in our LNN club. And we are happy to welcome more if you know a good friend or neighbor who would like to join us.

With only 2 more months of scheduled LNN activities before our summer break, you won’t want to miss out on all the fun we have in store for May! We are excited about our upcoming couples’ event on the 10th of May and the bi-monthly Bunco game night for those ready for lots of fun and laughter.

Check out our practical infographic below with all the upcoming events and add them to your own calendar to make sure you don’t miss out on anything. Also, please don’t forget to RSVP ahead of time to help our committee members prepare.

We look forward to seeing you for our May events and around town. Come visit our booth and help us to grow our LNN community at Discovery Day (May 25th 10am-3pm)! Feel free to sign up for a timeslot to be there or just swing by – the more the merrier!

Read more below and don’t forget to sign up to join in on all the fun. Last minute details are often found on our members Facebook page, so don’t forget to follow us there.

We’’ll be finalizing our 2024-2025 Board this month, so please reach out if you’re interested in joining us, especially if you love to help plan events! Email Rachel and Rikke to learn more!

Best wishes,

Rikke Bitsch-Nørhave, LNN President & Rachel Brownell, LNN Secretary
